My latest stand-up show Spastic Fantastic! will be at the Edinburgh Fringe in the Pleasance Courtyard from 30 July to 24 August – see the tour dates page for booking details.
The show tells the story of how I, as someone with cerebral palsy, earlier this year attempted single-handedly to reclaim the word 'spastic' in the same spirit that Black and Gay people reclaimed negative terms. As with my previous show, it combines stand-up comedy with fiendish hidden camera stunts.
The show has so far received these excellent reviews:
"Remarkably funny... self-depreciating yet self-assured... a damn fine comedian." Fest 17/8/2008 (read more)
"Clark has got some great material here - it's intelligent and incredibly mischievous. 'I would rather make people laugh than raise awareness,' admits this likeable prankster, and he certainly does that with aplomb." Metro 14/8/2008 (read more)
"He is nothing short of an excellent comedian, and anyone who hates David Cameron and Heather Mills as much as he does gets my thumbs up!" Threeweeks 11/8/2008 (read more)
"Tremendously cheeky... a genuine pleasure to spend time with... a bloody great hour of comedy" The National Student 10/8/2008 (read more)
"Exposes stupidity and ignorance to devastating effect" The List 7/8/2008 (read more)
"Intelligent and challenging... always a thought-provoking point behind the laughter." Chortle 2/8/2008 (read more)
